Continuing with our ethos of breaking down sporting barriers, Gold Events is proud to announce the return of the Wirral Ultra & Bike Ride.
The 35 mile Ultra-Marathon will be fast and flat, meaning it is a great option for people looking to complete the distance for the first time. It will follow the Wirral Circular Trail in a loop of well trodden paths, with feed stations at regular points to help you through the journey.
A non competitive bike ride will also take place, so whether you want to support your friends and family running, or just want to take in the scenery, we have an option for you. As a cyclist you will also have access to the feedstations, facilities and be rewarded with a memento.
All of this on a really scenic and often untapped area of the country. What are you waiting for???

The 35 mile ultra-marathon follows the Wirral Circular Trail for approximately 35 miles.
The course is flat and follows well defined paths along the promenade and Wirral Way. Because of this, the race is ideal for runners looking to move up to ultra distance. You will see many sights on route, such as the Liverpool skyline, Fort Perch and numerous lighthouses.
We will look after you with 4 feed stations on the course. At the finish, you will be awarded with a t-shirt and medal to remember your day.
All of our events are chip timed. Spot prizes will be awarded in addition to winners awards.
What makes our event unique, is that family and friends can support you during the run by riding along side. See Bike Ride option.
Bike Ride Option
The Bike Option is a non competitive ride touring the Wirral using the Wirral Circular Trail for approximately 35 miles.
Due to 90% of the ride being traffic free, it is ideal for families wishing to undertake a challenge together.
You have 9 hours to complete the route, so whether you wish to take some stops to visit the local area or complete it as a sporting challenge, the choice is yours. We will have feed stations on route providing refreshments and water top ups.
Upon completing the route you will be provided with a huge pat on the back, a memento and medal to remember your day.
A discount is offered to families signing up. The family option is for up to 2 adults and 2 children.
